My Favorite Baltimore Story Thus Far

A few months ago the program that is facilitating my teacher training sent all of their accepted participants information about an apartment complex that offered to rent only to first year teachers. It was decently priced, spacious and in many ways seemed like an ideal living situation. However, the neighborhood can most kindly be described as "transitional" and causes some concern about safety. Well, despite those warnings many of my fellow residents choose to live in these apartments. A fellow social studies teacher, was no exception. And by everything I'd heard he and all the others were pleased with their choice. That is until last Wednesday morning, when he awoke and went out to the parking lot - only to find his car was missing. Upon further investigation he learned that his car had been stolen (right from the lot) the night before. But not only was it stolen...it had been involved in a high speed chase around the city.
I guess that's what you get for trying to revitalization the neighborhood.
