Recognition!

I am just walking on air right now. Although it was not from anyone within my school, I have made a good impression with the social studies curriculum director and it's paying off. It seems that maybe my loneliness may have revealed its purpose - taking advantage of the professional development opportunities that exist in a system with such high turnover. And next year it looks as though I will get to be involved in some really interesting social studies initiatives. This is not common for a second year teacher - except in places like this! haha

Also, all of the assistant principals were out sick today. THAT IS ABSURD.
