What?! A good mood?! Never!

A good mood on a Wednesday even! I feel as though there is finally a light coming through and that spring break is visible (Sometimes I feel as though this job forces me to live in the short-term). My advisor came to visit today and seeing as my classes are very volatile this semester (which is very different than last semester when I pretty much knew what to expect) I was nervous. But they were great! They totally ate up my Revolutionary War=football game lesson and loved decorating the British and colonial football helmets. When I asked one advantage the colonists had over the British one of my kids even said "homefield advantage." It was great. Of course third period was awful, but eh, you can't win them all.

Next week is Maryland State Assessment testing which means no/diminished lesson plans. And I have lots of social plans the next few weeks to keep my busy and keep my head out of the job. We planned a happy hour Friday with people I haven't spent time with since the summer, Vic is coming up to visit for a day and then I'm shuffling back off to Buffalo for a weekend.

Apparently NBC is starting a new comedy called "Teachers." I feel very skeptical but excited about this, which is probably an excessive reaction to a television show. I'm sure I will write about it regularly. I never seem to be short on opinions these days.
