Oh to be in college
It must be finals time here at JHU because the library is packed! Especially considering it is 3:15 on a Monday afternoon. I think I may be in a little over my head between graduate school, civic education programs and you know, teaching. I guess not really, it's only overwhelming for a two week period, then it goes back to manageable.
Not too much to report today. We had a fire drill, followed by two more fire alarms. They are starting to get so loud and antsy. I am having a hard time determining how much room to give them. I know it's the end of the year and the end of their middle school years at that and it's hot and barely any of their teachers are showing up, but I just HATE so much noise.
Today when one girl was turning in her work and returning to her seat she got acosted by another student who took her shoe off and ran out of the room. Why are they so weird?
Another student took my pocket copy of the Constitution and wacked someone else over the head with it then proceeded to say "you just got hit by the United States Constitution" I thought that was amusing enough to let go.
Another kid told me he got suspended for 843 days. I assume it was supposed to say 43, but who knows these days.
I guess I better go get some research done before my meeting. I wish the workday was over when the bell rang.

why are the times on this blog always wrong. i did not sent my first note at 1:25pm. i sent it at 4:27pm. these loose ends drive me crazy. fix these times so i can track your movements more clearly.
hahaha the times on my posts are right because I change them. For some reason the default setting is pacific time.
You think EIGHTH GRADERS are weird, wait till you start teaching high school. A bunch of upperclassmen were streaking through the hall near my math class on friday. I'm pretty sure they got detention. See what you have to look forward to.
