Goofballs

Today I read my kids a personal account of a Cherokee on the Trail of Tears. It was called "Samuel's Memory" (A Native American named Samuel?! No one commented on that, although one did ask why it was in English). For their assignment they had to write a journal entry at a later date from Samuel's perspective. When I asked a student to collect the papers he walked around and said "Samuel, I need your entry" "Where's your paper Samuel?" "Hand me your work Samuel" to every single student.
