I love my profession

I love the field of education. By which I mean I love the best parts of the field. I love the people that attend these conferences - the people that are passionate and intelligent and dedicated. I love having a job where every single day is meaningful. I love that I'm good at my job. And I love the opportunities it opens. (I just got my Denver conference info today!) I just wish everything was like these experiences and everyone shared the initiative of the people I have met.

I think I would stay a teacher for these summer conferences alone. But, I know I don't want to stay where I am. I think I'd like to stay urban, but I miss Chicago and I miss Buffalo. But, then again, I am not ready to settle anywhere yet. I think I still have a few years of moving around. But in the end I feel I will end up here and I will end up in a classroom.

I have a thousand more thoughts but none concise enough to write down just yet.
