Kind of awesome
One of my students is hanging out in my room right now. It's 3:15 (after the school day has ended). I asked her what she was still doing here and she said "I was just watching debate practice and eatin'." Since I'm always hungry I decided to probe further into the food portion of her statement. Only to find out...get ready for this...that she had food delivered to the school during last period. Someone she managed to call and place and order and then go pick up the food at the front door during the school day! So resourceful. USE YOUR EVIL POWERS FOR GOOD, CHILDREN!

I just finished reading your last 5 posts or so (been wicked busy lately, can't even keep up with people I live with). I think I fractured a rib laughing so heartily. I understand how trying your profession can be and I am sure many of the little defeats go unreported in this blog, but man, seriouly Val, I don't think I've ever been amoungst a group of people as consistently clever and resourceful as the groups you've described. I now know I could not be a teacher simply because I could not stop from laughing long enough to impart a modicum of wisdom.
Mazel tov on the Master's prez by the way. Come on out to Chicago and I'll be happy to refer to you as Master as long as you want.
